The Magic - Day 23

Updated: Jan 24, 2020

Hello breath takers!

Let's make magic with the force of gratitude. Join me by practicing daily gratitude.

Practice 23

Today's Practice:

1. Take 5 five breathes.

2. Say thank you for the air you breathe.

3. Do this 5 times through out the day.

This practice reminded me of the Torch Singing class (learn more here) i'm taking. The night before we did breathing exercises and learned how to take in more air without constricting our throats. This meant breathing in without sound. Often times we think more sound more air however it is quite the opposite. Less sound = more air.

For today's practice I used those breathing tips to really inhale the magical air we breathe and exhaled with intent expressing gratitude. I did one of my 5 today while laying in bed. Now I'm preparing myself to go outside like the book suggests. Preparing myself because this is what it looks like outside right now:

What is "The Magic"

"The Magic" is a book by Rhonda Byrne. She is very well known for her book the secret. Essentially "The Magic" is a workbook to put into action the ideas behind the secret.

I highly recommend everybody have a copy of this book on their shelves. It is great if you just need a little inspiration to show some gratitude. I would highly recommend anything by Rhonda Byrne, her books and the secret books in general are easy to read and have great content about the law of attraction and gratitude.

You can get your own copy here. Please check out Rhonda Byrne as she is an awesome author and very inspiring.

Gratitude

This entire series of posts will be all about gratitude. Today I am grateful for this journey. I describe it as a journey because I am not perfect. Even going through this practice I have had days where I have been upset or sad. At one point during the practice I was critiquing others for not being more grateful and I was being utterly nitpicky. Then I realized I still am the only one that can take myself on this journey and that I am at fault for feeling that way. This will forever be a transformative journey and I am grateful for that. It gives me the opportunity to grow and learn and continue on living a life of gratitude. That was the whole point of this blog to hold me accountable for my own gratitude and to live everyday with those intentions. Yes by putting it out to the masses I hope people can take some of these ideals and use them in their life too. I do have to understand that I am the only person I have ultimate control over and thus I have to take that responsibility for my reactions and thoughts, even if it is someone else's actions that I am reacting to.

🙏 Thank you for reading! When/where do you use breathing exercises? Where is the freshest air you have ever breathed? Have you ever caught yourself blaming others for your feelings, how did you change that?
