New Year - New You! Time to make 2020 count - let's kick off the decade with some gratitude!
That is what my New Year's Resolution will be: Consciously express more gratitude.
I will be kicking off my New Year's Resolution by launching my blog about gratitude, following along with a book called, "The Magic", and writing about things i'm grateful for!
So at some point in my life I came across a few books by Rhonda Byrne. See this post for more details. My favorite book of hers is called, "The Magic".
Anyway for the new decade I am going to start off by doing the book and tracking my progress on my blog!
What is "The Magic"
"The Magic" is a stellar book that gives you 28 days of gratitude practice!
I have only completed the 28 days of the book one other time in my life. That was during college when I was feeling a bit down and out and needed some inspo.
Other times I read/did the activities in the book I would quit after a few days. However when I finished it in College it was truly amazing what opportunities arose. My most memorable opportunity or change in my life was meeting my now fiance - Eliezer! You can read about him here.
The book starts by giving you some insight on the author - Rhonda Byrne, the Law of Attraction, the idea behind gratitude and why it helps you. Then you take a moment to write down what you would like to bring into your life. These are broken down into categories:
Health and Body
Career and Work
Money
Relationships
Personal Desires
Material Things
The book then continues on with 28 days of gratitude practice.
It is a great book with awesome exercises to encourage implementing gratitude into your life. I highly recommend it for anyone!
To be honest I know a lot of people have issues with the idea that gratitude can change your life... Sure I understand it might not make you a millionaire overnight or change your life suddenly.
My argument to people like this is, what can it hurt? Is the world going to become a worse off place by being grateful for the clothes on the back or the people in your life?
Not in anyway that I can think of.
So let's give this mumbo jumbo a shot. You really have nothing to lose except maybe a small amount of time which i'm sure you waste on other junk anyway 🙃

Gratitude
I am so thankful that these books came into my life! They have helped shape me into a more grateful human being! In fact these books were the inspiration for this blog. One day I hope to meet Rhonda Byrne and personally thank her for her insight into gratitude. She is truly inspirational and has added a lot of depth to my life that may have gone unnoticed without her books.
It is my hope that others find this activity as transformative as I have. Being grateful is very simple but it can be hard especially when life throws a curve ball. By harnessing gratitude and changing our perspectives it makes life far more enjoyable and opens the doors to greater possibilities! Thank you to all who decide to follow along the journey!
🙏 Thank-you for reading! Have you heard of these books? Are you ready to make 2020 a decade to remember? What is your New Year's Resolution? 🎆
