Many influential people throughout the world recognize the power of writing. This exercise harnesses that power and puts it into daily action.

This exercise comes from an awesome book:

Description

Expressing gratitude daily is important to your health and well-being.

One of the easiest ways I have found is to write 10 things daily! It's not complicated or time consuming, but it will take persistence.

Exercise

Write 10 things that you are grateful for daily.

Start the sentences with:

I am grateful for...

I am thankful for...

I am blessed for...

Then finished with a reason:

because....

End with:

Thank-you! Thank-you! Thank-you!

Lastly read through and feel the gratitude of everything you have written!

Examples

Recommendations

If you are struggling to find 10 things to be grateful for take a deep breathe and be grateful you are breathing. Sometimes the littlest things can be the most profound.

Don't forget to be grateful for the things you unconsciously do every moment of everyday examples: breathing, moving, feeling, seeing.

If you are still having troubles think in terms of categories:

-Health

-Career

-Relationships

-Personal Achievements

-Future Possibilites

-Material Things

Results

I find my best results when I write this in the morning when I wake up or right before I go to bed. If I find I am having a hard time during the day I will mentally start listing them and saying thank-you for each one.

If you can't do all 10, do as many as you can! Something is better than nothing =]

Gratitude

I am thankful for this exercise and the book in general. It has many great activities to really jump start your gratitude practice. It is a simple and effective way to look at this daily and really appreciate them.
